WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that the town of Philadelphia violated the Constitution by restricting its relationship by having a Catholic foster care agency throughout the group’s refusal to certify same-sex couples as foster parents.
The justices arrived down unanimously against Philadelphia as well as for Catholic personal Services.
“The refusal of Philadelphia to contract with CSS for the supply of foster care solutions unless it agrees to certify same-sex couples as foster moms and dads cannot endure strict scrutiny, and violates the initial Amendment,” Chief Justice John Roberts published.
